Former Prime Minister of Poland, Minister for European Integration
Co-founder of the Liberal-Democratic Congress and Freedom Union, and the Executive Director at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. Doctor honoris causa of the University of Gdańsk. He has been active on Poland’s political and economic stage for over three decades. He was the President and Chief Executive Officer at Pekao Bank S.A. from October 2003 until January 2010. In November 2009, he was appointed as the President of the Polish Institute of International Affairs Council (PISM) and served until December 2015. PISM is a leading Central European think-tank focusing on foreign policy, European integration, security and international economic relations. In March 2010, he was nominated by Prime Minister Donald Tusk as the Chairman of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister. The primary task of it is to provide the Prime Minister with an independent and objective opinions both on the current and planned government activities. The Council also assesses Poland’s socio-economic standing against the background of phenomena occurring in Europe and the global economy. He held this position until December 2014. In January 2015, he joined EY Poland as chairman of the Partners Council. In 1991, he was awarded the National Order of the Legion of Honour - Grand Officer. The same year, he was awarded the Grand Gwanghwa Medal, the Order of Diplomatic Service Merit, by the South Korean authorities. In 2010, the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, awarded Jan Krzysztof Bielecki the highest state decoration in Poland, the Order of the White Eagle. The same year, the Minister of Foreign Affairs awarded him the civil decoration “Bene Merito”. In 2013, in Bratislava, the Slovak Atlantic Commission and the Czech Euro-Atlantic Council Jagello 2000 honoured Jan Krzysztof Bielecki for his merits in promoting the idea of freedom and building democracy in Central Europe. Jan Krzysztof Bielecki started his professional career as an economics lecturer at Gdańsk University in 1973 but lost his job in 1981 due to his anti-Communist activities. In the early 1980s, he was an advisor to the leading figures of the Solidarity movement and participated in organising the historic strike at the Gdańsk Shipyard in 1981. During the first half of the 1980s, Jan Krzysztof Bielecki continued to play an active role in the then illegal Solidarity - publishing underground political materials and acting as liaison officer for the executive committee of the underground Solidarity movement. During this period, Mr Bielecki contributed to the formation of Solidarity’s economic policy by developing a market-based approach as an alternative to the communist state planning of Poland of that time. From 1982 to 1985, he co-owned a trucking company and worked as a truck driver. Between 1985 and 1990, Jan Krzysztof Bielecki was the CEO of ‘Doradca’, a Gdańsk-based consulting company founded in 1985 by members of the Solidarity movement as an alternative to state-owned companies. The company also aimed to support Solidarity’s opposition activities. After the fall of communism and the first free presidential elections in late 1990, President-elect Lech Wałęsa entrusted Bielecki with the task of forming the government. Jan Krzysztof Bielecki was sworn in as Prime Minister of the Government by Parliament on 4 January 1991. His government successfully negotiated foreign debt reduction and led to signing the European Community Association Agreement. He was world’s first to recognise Ukraine’s independence. Mr Bielecki’s cabinet resigned after democratic parliamentary elections in December 1991. Jan Krzysztof Bielecki also served as the Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Caucus, a member of the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Relations and the Chief Delegate of the Polish Parliament to the European Parliament. In July 1992, he was appointed Minister for European Integration in Prime Minister Hanna Suchocka’s new coalition government. In December 1993, Mr Bielecki was appointed a Board Member at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. He was responsible for EBRD operations in, inter alia, Poland, Bulgaria and Albania. From 1993 to 1997, he was president of the Polish Equestrian Federation. From 2008 to 2018, he was a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum in Warsaw. He has published numerous articles in foreign and Polish general and specialised press, including The Wall Street Journal, Europe’s World, Rzeczpospolita, Gazeta Bankowa, Gazeta Wyborcza, Wprost, Tygodnik Powszechny, Die Welt and many others. He is also co-author of the book “Histoire de l’Europe” published in Paris in 1997 and also “Managing the Value of a Capital Company” published in Warsaw in 2012.
Chairman of Italy and of the Corporate & Investment Bank, EMEA at J.P. Morgan
Vittorio Grilli is the Chairman of Italy and of the Corporate & Investment Bank,
EMEA at J.P. Morgan and serves as a senior advisor on macroeconomic issues, global market developments and
European policy actions. He is also Chair of the firm’s EMEA Advisory Council.
Vittorio has spent a long career in European economics and public service. He was an assistant professor at Yale
University from 1986 to 1990 and Woolwich Professor of Financial Economics at the University of London’s
Birkbeck College from 1990 to 1994.
He has held multiple positions with the Italian Treasury over the past two decades, most recently as Italian
Minister of Economy and Finances under Prime Minister Monti’s Government (2011-2013), where he helped to guide
the Republic through one of its most challenging economic times in the past century.
In the 1990s, he played a pivotal role during Italy’s wave of privatizations and also has served as an advisor
to major international and domestic firms. Vittorio has been a distinguished leader in global markets, serving
on the EU’s Economic and Financial Committee from March 2009 to January 2012, ultimately as Chairman of the
committee.
Vittorio holds a Masters degree in economics from Bocconi University and a doctorate in economics from the
University of Rochester.
Chair of the KNF - Polish Financial Supervision Authority
Jacek Jastrzębski is one of the leading Polish specialists in law and finance. He has
a legal background as a graduate and professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of University of Warsaw,
as well as economic background as a graduate of SGH Warsaw School of Economics. He has also completed a
prestigious ‘Professional LL.M.’ legal programme at University of California, Berkeley (United States).
Jacek Jastrzębski combined his work in banking with his academic and scientific activities. For more than ten
years he served as Deputy Director of the Legal Department at Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski. He has
been employed as Professor at the Department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration at University
of Warsaw. In 2017, he was recognised in ‘Legal 500’s GC Powerlist: Central and Eastern Europe’, a list of the
most influential lawyers in Central and Eastern Europe.
As part of his scientific activity, he deals with civil law, commercial law and financial market law, and he is
an author/co-author of more than 80 scientific publications. His PhD and habilitation dissertations have
received awards from Państwo i Prawo monthly. He participated, as a speaker and host, in a series of national
and international conferences, including events regarding financial market.
The President of the Council of Ministers Mateusz Morawiecki on 24 November 2023 appointed dr. hab. Jacek
Jastrzębski, prof. UW, for the position of the Chair of the KNF Board for the next term of office.

From 2010 to 2024, Mr. Stypułkowski held the position of CEO at mBank S.A.
He serves as vice-chairman of the Council of the Polish Bank Association, chairing its Large Banks Section.
Since 2022, he has been also a member of MasterCard’s international board of advisors. In October 2024, Mr.
Stypułkowski joined the Council of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) in Washington, D.C., the most
important global organization of the financial industry, bringing together nearly 500 major players from more
than 60 countries. He has served as co-chair of the Emerging Markets Advisory Council of the IIF since
2012.
From 2006 to 2010, he worked at J.P. Morgan in London, where he held the position, since 2007, of managing
director of J.P. Morgan’s investment bank for Central and Eastern Europe.
He served as CEO of the PZU Group from 2003 to 2006, and headed the Board of Directors of Bank Handlowy S.A. in
Warsaw from 1991 to 2003.

CEO, Social Insurance Institution (ZUS)
An expert in finance, management and insurance. Mr. Derdziuk has been working in the
public administration sector since 1989, holding senior government positions. He was a minister in Donald Tusk’s
government, as well as secretary of state at the Prime Minister’s Office in the governments of Jerzy Buzek and
Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz.
From 2009 to 2015, he was the CEO of the Social Insurance Institution. During his tenure, the Electronic
Services Platform (PUE ZUS), electronic e-ZLA sick leave form, and modern management solutions were introduced
and the image of the Institution underwent an in-depth transformation. Mr. Derdziuk was chairman of the
Geneva-based Audit Committee of the International Social Security Association (ISSA). In April this year, he was
reappointed CEO of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). He is currently chairman of the ISSA European Network
(IEN) Steering Committee, a member of the ISSA Bureau, and chairman of the ISSA Technical Commission on Old Age,
Invalidity and Survivors’ Insurance.
Mr. Derdziuk also worked in the banking sector (mBank, Bank Pocztowy and PKO BP), in the media industry and in
consulting, including in Ukraine.
Financial Ombudsman
Legal advisor, assistant professor at the Department of Insurance and Medical Law
at the Faculty of Law and Administration, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, and a member of the Polish
branch of the Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA). He acted as an consultant and trainer
for insurance companies, investment fund associations, brokers, agents, and other financial institutions. He is
the author of more than 100 articles, case notes, studies, and press publications in the fields of civil law,
insurance law, banking law, consumer protection, and medical law.

April 2003 to December 2007, he served as Partner and Managing Director of The Boston Consulting Group in Warsaw
where he worked with PZU, among others, on insurance projects related to loss adjustment, direct insurance,

From 14 December 2007 to 8 December 2015, he served as the President of the Management Board of PZU SA. As the
President of the Management Board of PZU SA, he was responsible for managing the Company and the PZU Group. In
particular, he was responsible for: strategy, human resources policy, investment policy, and corporate
governance support functions, i.e. the legal department, corporate management and internal control. He conducted
the PZU IPO procedure which was the largest IPO on the Warsaw Stock Exchange at the time.
From 2017 to 2019, he served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Best SA. From 2017 to 2022 at NKBM Maribor,
he was Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee. He also served as a
non-executive director, head of the audit committee and was a member of the Strategy Committee at Play
Communication from 2014 to 2021. He was in charge of the first wave of restructuring of Greece’s largest
insurance company, Ethniki, following its acquisition by CVC, one of the largest PE businesses in the world,
serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Head of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Since 2020,
he has been a Managing Partner at Cornestone Partners, where he is responsible for several portfolio companies.

Mr. Chróstny holds a degree in finance and accounting from the Warsaw School of
Economics and a degree in management and production engineering from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. He
also has a PhD from the College of Business Administration at the Warsaw School of Economics. During his
studies, he held a scholarship to study industrial and mechanical engineering at Vitus Bering University
College. He is also a graduate of the ARGO Top Public Executive Management Training Program (equivalent to the
Advanced Management Program), offered by IESE Business School and the National School of Public
Administration.
Mr. Chróstny began his professional career by participating in projects focusing on financial institution
audits, business valuation and the detection of crime and fraud. He was then drawing up economic, market and
sector-specific analyses and economic forecasts.
Mr. Chróstny worked at the Prime Minister's Office and then at the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology,
where he served as director of the Economic Analysis Department until 25 August 2019. From 26 August 2019 to 26
January 2020, he served as Vice President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, and on 27
January 2020, he assumed the position of President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.

Esther started her career at Swiss Re as Senior Economist in Zurich and New York, and held various position in

A graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and an MBA from London Business School. Marcin Nedwidek has been the CEO of the UNIQA Group in Poland since April 2021. Previously, since October 2020, he was the CEO of the AXA Group in Poland. In UNIQA, in addition to his role as CEO, he is also responsible for the retail property and life insurance business. He joined AXA in 2018. He was a member of the management board and director of the individual client area in the property part. Previously, he was associated with The Boston Consulting Group, where he was responsible for the development of BCG's insurance practice in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. He also worked for another international consulting company and an investment bank in London.

Manager with nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. A graduate of the University of Łódź and
the Warsaw School of Economics. From 2001 to 2012, she was engaged in the Ergo Hestia Group, where she served as
Vice President of the Management Board of MTU Moje Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń [Insurance Company]. Since 2012 she
has headed the Wiener (formerly Gothaer) insurance company as the President of the Management Board, and since
2022 she has headed Compensa TU S.A. Vienna Insurance Group.
In 2024, she successfully completed the merger of Compensa and Wiener, creating one of the key players in the
Polish property insurance market. This consolidation has been one of the most important in the domestic
insurance market in recent years. She was named “Person of the Year” by the Insurance Gazette for her managerial
achievements.
Since 2016, she has served as Chairwoman of the Audit Committee of the Polish Insurance Association (on which
she has served since 2013). In the past, she also served as President of the Polish-German Chamber of Industry
and Commerce. She has also been a member of the supervisory board of Austrian insurer Wiener Städtische
Versicherung AG Vienna Insurance Group since 2025.
In recognition of her contribution to the development of the insurance sector, she was awarded the Silver Cross
of Merit in 2022.

Ms. Podyma is an experienced leader working in the financial and insurance industry, combining strategic thinking with empathetic leadership. Ms. Podyma is an expert in the field of insurance and is involved in the development of the market as Vice Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Polish Chamber of Insurance. She actively supports social initiatives, including Pro Bono Leaders and the Foundation for Youth Entrepreneurship. She is also a lecturer at ALK, offering her insights as part of the LeaderShe female leadership promotion program. In her management philosophy, Ms. Podyma promotes equality and diversity, perceiving them as foundations of innovative organizations. She actively supports the development of women in business. Participant in numerous regulatory works on the insurance market undertaken by the Polish Financial Supervision
Authority, including in the scope of claims settlement for motor insurance, determining and paying compensation
for non-pecuniary damage from third party liability insurance contracts for motor vehicle owners, life insurance
with an insurance capital fund, bancassurance, insurance distribution, outsourcing and the product management
system.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. He is a legal adviser. He
has participated in numerous trainings, courses and seminars in the field of insurance.
Deputy Director of the Insurance Supervision Department, Polish Financial Supervision Authority
Daria Ringwelska has been working for the Office of the Polish Financial Supervision
Authority for over 18 years. As Deputy Director at the Insurance Supervision Division, she is in charge of teams
responsible for ongoing supervision, monitoring risk or analysing capital requirements and assessing the
solvency of insurance companies. At the Office of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, from the
beginning, her tasks have been focused on the Solvency II system, stress testing or risk analysis in the
operations of insurance companies. Since 2007, in this position, she has been actively participating in the
activities conducted by the EIOPA. Currently, she is a member of the Advisory Committee on
Proportionality.
Daria Ringwelska has a degree in economics, with a PhD in Finance and an Executive MBA.

Ms. Dąbrowska has been working in the insurance sector since 1994. She boasts extensive experience in the adjustment of motor vehicle claims, including those related to accidents abroad. In dealing with the execution of insurance contracts, Ms. Dąbrowska has worked as both an expert and a manager.
