Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Finance
He is Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Finance in charge of the Departments of Public Debt, Financial Market Development, Value for Money and Accounting, Guarantee, Economic Policy Support as well as the Legal Department. He supervises the Public Finance Discipline Office, the Accounting Standards Committee and the Polish Agency for Audit Oversight. He is a member of the Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers and the Government Work Programming Team, and represents the Minister of Finance in the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers. He also serves as the Chief Spokesperson for Public Finance Discipline. In addition, he handles matters arising from the Act on the National Bank of Poland.
In the past, he has held a number of leadership positions, including the role of Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Administration and Digitization, where he was responsible for information and telecommunication policies, cyber security, and e-government.
He has extensive experience in European affairs. In Brussels, he worked as a counsellor at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union and at Directorates-General in positions related to economic reforms and information and communication technologies. During this time, he participated in the process of developing a number of European policies, including the i2010 digital development policy, the Lisbon Strategy, cohesion policy programs and, more recently, in the negotiations on the National Recovery Plan or the European Semester procedure. Among other things, he represented Poland in the Task Force on Greece, dealing with the country’s government-debt crisis.
Jurand Drop is a graduate of International Economic Relations at the Academy of Economics (now the University of Economics) in Cracow. In the past, he taught macroeconomics, mathematical economics and European monetary union at public and private universities.
Chair of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF)
He is one of the leading Polish specialists in law and finance. He has a legal background as a graduate and professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of University of Warsaw, as well as economic background as a graduate of SGH Warsaw School of Economics. He has also completed a prestigious ‘Professional LL.M.’ legal programme at University of California, Berkeley (United States).
He combined his work in banking with his academic and scientific activities. For more than ten years he served as Deputy Director of the Legal Department at Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski. He has been employed as Professor at the Department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration at University of Warsaw. In 2017, he was recognised in Legal 500’s GC Powerlist: Central and Eastern Europe, a list of the most influential lawyers in Central and Eastern Europe.
As part of his scientific activity, he deals with civil law, commercial law and financial market law, and he is an author/co-author of more than 80 scientific publications. His PhD and habilitation dissertations have received awards from Państwo i Prawo monthly. He participated, as a speaker and host, in a series of national and international conferences, including events regarding financial market.
The President of the Council of Ministers Mateusz Morawiecki on 24 November 2023 appointed Jacek Jastrzębski, PhD, Professor at the University of Warsaw, for the position of the Chair of the KNF Board for the next term of office.

Polish Financial Supervision Authority
He has 23 years of experience in supervisory activities. In 1999–2002, he worked at the Polish Insurance Supervision Authority, where he was responsible for, among others, ongoing supervision of insurance undertakings and performing inspection tasks in the area of valuation of provisions. From 2002, he worked at the Polish Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Commission, and from 2006 at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF), holding managerial positions in the area of insurance supervision. From 2009, he served as Deputy Director, and then as Director of the Insurance Inspection Department. His responsibilities included planning and conducting inspections at insurance undertakings, insurance distributors and general pension societies. He took part in developing supervisory guidelines and recommendations and conducting pre-application and application processes for internal models of insurance undertakings. From 2020, he was Acting Managing Director of the Insurance Supervision Division, responsible for supervising insurance sector matters related to solvency, risk assessment, licensing and authorisations, and inspections.
From 2014 to 2020, he was the representative of the UKNF at the International Organisation of Pension Supervisors (IOPS). Since 2021, he has served as member of the supervisory board of the Insurance Guarantee Fund.
He holds a Master’s degree awarded by the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics of the University of Warsaw, where he defended a thesis on the application of mathematics in finance. He has participated in numerous training courses and seminars in the area of insurance and actuarial science.

Sejm of the Republic of Poland
Polish politician, a long-standing Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, and Vice-Chair of the Civic Coalition (Koalicja Obywatelska). From 2013 to 2015, she served as Deputy Minister of Finance, overseeing the development of the financial market and the social insurance system. From 2023 to 2025, she was Minister of Health in the government of Donald Tusk.
She is a graduate of Polish philology at the Jagiellonian University and has completed postgraduate studies in, among others, public finance, organizational management according to ISO standards, as well as philosophy and ethics.
Financial Ombudsman
Has been holding the position of Financial Ombudsman since January 2025. He is an assistant professor at the Department of Civil, Insurance and Medical Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, a member of the Polish branch of the Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA), a legal counsel associated in the Regional Chamber of Legal Counsels in Toruń, a consultant and coach advising insurance companies, investment funds, insurance brokers and other financial institutions. He is an author of more than 100 articles, glosses and studies, as well as press publications focusing on civil, insurance, banking, consumer protection and medical law.
Over the period of 12 years has been practicing as a professional legal counsel, he has provided primarily ongoing support to business entities, including insurance intermediaries (brokers and agents), as well as clients of financial market entities concerning, inter alia, loans indexed to/denominated in foreign currencies, compensation payments and other benefits under insurance contracts. He was also issuing opinions on, among other things, growth strategies, draft documents, planned solutions or products, including for financial market entities.

Until 2007, he was President of the Management Board of the Polskie Biuro Podróży Orbis Travel (Orbis Travel – Polish Travel Bureau). He was also a Member of Supervisory Boards of Canal Plus Cyfrowy and PBP SA. He was a Member of the Supervisory Board of Robyg SA. He also held managing positions in professional organizations and associations.
He was, inter alia, a Vice President of Polish Association of Tourism, a Member of the French Association of Commerce in Poland, and Vice President of the Board of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers PKPP Tourism in Leviathan. From 1981 to 1998 he lived abroad (in England and France), where he directed transport and tourism companies.

He has been professionally involved with the financial market since his student years. He began his career at the Brokerage House of Bank Energetyki SA (Dom Maklerski Banku Energetyki SA), later joining the Office of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, where he continues his professional career.
He is a member of expert groups at EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority) and IOPS (International Organisation of Pension Supervisors). He has participated in exchange programs between financial supervisory authorities within the European Union, as well as in aid and technical assistance programs for supervisory bodies outside the EU.
A graduate of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (Law), he also completed postgraduate studies in finance and management organized by the University of Warsaw, Kozminski University, and the Polish Bank Association.

The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF)
She has been involved in insurance supervision for over 15 years. Since 2017, she has held managerial positions at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority(UKNF), where her responsibilities have included off-site financial supervision and the analysis of financial data from insurance and reinsurance undertakings.
She has supervised the verification of financial documentation submitted to the UKNF regarding the acquisition of shares/interests in insurance companies, as well as merger transactions between insurance entities. Furthermore, she coordinated tasks resulting from the KNF's role as the group supervisor (lead supervisor) for the PZU Group. For many years, she has been involved in monitoring the insurance sector's risk exposure, including as part of the Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process (BION/SREP). She also participates in international activities within supervisory colleges and international projects.
Since October 2025, she has served as the Acting Deputy Director of the Insurance Supervision Department at the UKNF. She is responsible for the supervision of insurance and reinsurance undertakings in terms of monitoring their solvency and financial standing (including the profitability of company portfolios). She also oversees the analysis of accounting and reporting issues, as well as the examination of reports prepared by insurance and reinsurance undertakings.

A graduate of Law and International Relations, he earned his PhD in Juridical Science from the University of Warsaw in 2014. Between 2012 and 2013, he participated in a research program in international relations at Harvard University, and he is an alumnus of The Hague Academy of International Law.
He gained his professional experience working for the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, where he was involved, among others, in proceedings before international human rights tribunals. Insurance Europe
As Head of Insurance Europe’s Personal and General Insurance Department, Nicolas Jeanmart contributes to the global and European debates on non-life and life insurance. In recent years, the question of how to reduce insurance protection gaps, notably in the areas of natural catastrophes, pensions, cyber and health, has kept him especially busy; he actively contributed to the protection gaps report of the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA) and was co-rapporteur of the European Commission’s Climate Resilience Dialogue.
His responsibilities also span motor insurance, access to in-vehicle data, emerging risks, liability insurance, taxation and anti-money laundering (AML). Nicolas is a member of EIOPA’s Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group and has served on the European Commission’s High-Level Expert Group on pensions. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the European Parliamentary Financial Services Forum (EPFSF).
Before joining Insurance Europe in 2010, Nicolas led the banking supervision and economic affairs department at the European Savings Banks Group (ESBG) for four years, following several roles within the organisation. Earlier in his career, he provided consultancy and training services, primarily to the financial sector, in Belgium and Luxembourg.
A Belgian-French national, Nicolas holds a master’s degree in business engineering and additional degrees in European integration and development and computer sciences.

Andrzej Sokołowski is a physician specializing in internal medicine. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Gdańsk. He is Vice President of the Gdańsk Medical Chamber, serving his third term. Sokołowski is a creator and founder of the National Association of Private Hospitals and has been serving as Chairman of the Board of this organization since December 2002. Since 2004, he has been a Member of the Board of the Brussels-based European Union of Private Hospitals (UEHP). Michał Kopyt is an experienced technology leader and digital transformation expert with 17 years of experience in the insurance sector. He has an extensive track record of building and managing IT teams and implementing cutting-edge technological solutions.
Between 2009 and 2016, he held key positions within the PZU Group as IT Transformation Director, where he was responsible for strategic digitalization projects. These included Project Everest—the largest implementation of the Guidewire system in Central and Eastern Europe—which streamlined policy sales and administration. He also spearheaded one of the largest Agile transformations in Poland, successfully integrating IT with business operations and significantly shortening product time-to-market.
In 2016, he joined EY, serving as Executive Director at EY Global Delivery Services, where he established and developed a technology center providing IT services to European insurance and financial firms. From 2019, as a Partner and Technology Consulting Leader at EY Poland, he supported the largest companies in the CEE region in their digitalization and process optimization efforts, collaborating closely with organizations such as PZU. He was responsible for the growth of the technology practice, scaling teams, and deploying innovative IT solutions.
Earlier in his career, he gained experience at technology and consulting firms, delivering projects across the insurance, banking, and telecommunications sectors. As Insurance Practice Leader at Cube ITG, he worked with PZU on implementing new IT management methodologies. At Sygnity and Easy Net S.A., he managed ERP and Oracle EBS system implementations for international clients.

A manager with many years’ experience within management and supervisory boards of Vienna Insurance Group companies, successfully managed the areas of technology, change management and customer service. Previously, he had worked within the structures of insurance companies, including Aviva and Generali. He joined Allianz Poland Management Board from 1 February 2024 as COO. He has extensive experience in insurance. From 2019 to 2024 he was the Head of VIG Expert, a specialised unit responsible for claims handling and operations for Vienna Insurance Group companies in Poland. Simultaneously, has was Director of Mass Claims Handling at three Polish VIG companies – Compensa, InterRisk and Wiener. Before VIG, he spent 8 years at Aviva Poland as liability underwriting director, systems thinking director and P&C claims handling director. He was also director of claims handling operational centre at PZU, Poland’s largest insurer.
He is a qualified lawyer, since 2016 arbitrator at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority Arbitration Court. Actively engaged in the works of the Polish Chamber of Insurance.
